Critique: CC:

In Dec last year the town that I was stationed it received about 220mm of water in less then 24 hours. Long story short got flood etc etc etc .
But.
we also had a heap of bugs and creepy crawlies getting around.
These Cicadas are about the size of a male adults thumb. There were millions of them everywhere
Love the orange !

I like the lighting on the first image, Geoff. We have these critters here in Texas too - they are currently "singing" away through the summer months..

These are fantastic! I would love to see them in a more natural setting, but they are just fine as they are...I hope you post more critters from that part of the world!!

Yep, it was a shame that I didnt have the time to pull a branch off a tree and throw them on that. Just ran out of time. At night time they are almost catatonic :). Now that I moved further north I will see if they come up this far and try it again. Got a few photos of dingos, Bungarra's and pythons too :)

My last town emus and roos would come right into town. Had a few foxes too that I saw out the front of my house looking around. Most didnt hang around too long as Roo tail (marloo) is considered a treat with the locals (not my cup of tea thanks :) ). Wasnt uncommon to find them hanging a roo off their front security door and skinning it or cooking up turtle and dugong. Its something to see to believe.
