I like the back-lighting of the wings.

I love the DOF with the double winged effect. I have a Private Pilots License and love flight; your image reminds me of an airplane with the main wings and elevators (wings on the end of the airplane) coupled to the beauty of the Swallowtail as I see what I feel when I fly. : ) Remember what you do not see can still bring a smile to those who do. Fantastic shot, thanks for reminding me of what I love most (flying) in another way that I love as well.....photography. : )

Absolutely beautiful shot. I agree about the back lighting, and I love how one set of wings is in motion, and the other set is still. Very neat capture!

Beautiful shot! Agree with the lighting. I think it's a Giant Swallowtail.

Thank you, thank you again, all of you. I really appreciate your encouraging comments.

James: I appreciate your thoughts and I think your comment of "Remember what you do not see can still bring a smile to those who do." will be sticking with me as I take photos.

Patti: Thanks for ID on the butterfly and your comment.

Good details where it counts, interesting frontal POV too..
The wing blur shows movement nicely, tough light but you managed it well.
