Excellent focus and contrast, Dan. A touch brighter would've been good IMHO.

+1 on the focus Dan - very sharp. I also thin a little more light (maybe a slight curves adjustment would help).

I like the lead image best for its view of the bees head. Also like the bits of pollen about the bee. I realize these are closeups, but I think they should either be closer, or a bit further back to includes all the body parts.
Just my two cents :)
