I think the first is a little better in sharpness, but like the color of the second better. In the first, I can see more detail in the T in the upper right. Also, in the second, I notice some blue chromatic aberrations around the 5.

Agree with Jim. Unless you're pixel-peeping, it seems the white balance is the only difference to me. Which speaks well of the Raynox, IMO.
Just FYI, here's a pic of the DIY diffuser I used on my Lumix FZ50 with the achromats. It worked pretty well.

It's a stiffening/lining material from the fabric shop. Comes in a few thicknesses...this is a middling one.

I think the first one is the sharper of the 2 and the second has worse CA. But the white balance on the 2nd appears to be closer. But both images look good. | | | |
