Need help on the DragonFly. I think the last is a Robber Fly. Took these in the Choke Canyon Park today.
Taken with a F4 300mm Nikon

After some googling, the first two look like black saddlebags (which can be a variety of colors, not just black), and the third is a robber fly. Nice series, but I agree with James, the first is my favorite.

thanks for the help and the comments. I don't do macro often but going to try more. These dragonfly's are almost the size of a humming bird.

Indeed. They look like saddlebags to me. #1 definitely is better for angle and DoF choice.

Nice shots with the long glass, Michael. The dragon is, as mentioned, black saddlebags, Tramea lacerata. The robber, I believe, is Efferia albibarbis.
