Fat Drunk Bee - 09-27-2011, 05:08 AM

Critique: CC:

Well, there I was trying to shoot on another cloudy day (better recently) and saw this bee on a big veggie flower. Dude was so fat or wasted on the pollen that it could harldy move. Got em with a Nikon D5100 at 1/250, F8, ISO 200 through a Nikon 18-55mm VR kit lens at 55mm. Second shot is a pretty tight crop, just wanted to see how well the kit lens and crop sensor would hold it. Coulda been better with slightly more DOF (thats on me though).
Nikon is having their big sale this weekend with things the PX normally doesn't carry at Yonsang. I gave them a big wish list of goodies; hopefully they will bring all that I requested. D700, R1C1 flash kit, 105 2.8 VR. New debit card finally came in after two and a half months; i'm gonna hurt it.LOL : )

Good job on exposing the colors, James. Those two are hard enough by themselves. Nice and sharp images, too.

You shot this with the 18-55 kit lens? That's impressive!

Nice work, James - the yellow sometimes blows out, but you did a good job in holding the details.

Every time you post images like this, it reminds me how much I have to learn about using the equipment I have.
