Camera & Rifle Scope Macro - 11-11-2011, 01:42 PM

Critique: CC:

I wanted to see if I could do it thats the only reason.

It worked, here's the setup minus the S3is camera. The maroon tube with the Raynox quick connector gives me the necessary relief from the fixed lens on the camera to the scope, tho it is not required at all once you get the camera positioned.I had to put a +4 diopter on the front of the scope to get an image thru the scope, the scope is set to 6,5 power and working distance is 10 inches. The square you see in the image is 1/8th inch in real life,It is ball point pen ink lines. The front diameter of the scope limits the overall size no matter what the scope power is set at but you can make the square larger with scope power setting changes.I tried to correct this in PS 7 but the image quality goes down the drain.Oh well, another experiment go's south but it was fun to play with.I found I could also put a diopter on the lens adapter of the camera and things still worked even the zoom of the camera.I wish I knew a way to get around the scope limitation, there must be a way.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,anyone have any ideas?Would my small sensor have anything to do with the limitation?

The scope and camera supports are made from LEGOS I borrowed from my great grand daughter.

I'm enjoying the use of legos in your setup
