Just had to get out today, the wind kept it interesting to say the least....This is pick o' the litter from Mercer Botanical today. Canon 50d, 100/2.8 macro, handheld, 1/1000s, f2.8 ISO 640. cropped and resized

Amen about the wind.LOL You wrote that you shot at 1/000.lol I'm sure that was a typo. I enjoy seeing what others use to shoot; that helps me out sometimes. I like that you used 2.8 to keep the center tight and flowing out nicely. : )

James, it was really 1/1000s shutter. I used aperture priority most of the day since i had plenty of light.

The wind is the bane of macro shooting (moving subjects in general). I like the fall colors captured in the image.

+1 to John. I don't even bother if the winds are over 5mph.

Nice shot, btw. I like the bee being up on the flower like it is.
