Black and Lavender Flower??? - 11-30-2011, 02:58 AM

Critique: CC:

The lavender and black flower came out of my dentist's flower bed yesterday afternoon .I picked it on the way out, wrapped the stem with a kleenex and poured some water on it.It made the 20 mile trip home to the camera. It is about an inch across.I'm sure a professional landscaper put it there as ground cover as there were thousands. This is in the Houston area BTW.I wondering about it's name,,,,,,,,,,,,,The small triangle at the top is not a third black petal it is actully part of the lavender petal.

I'm not sure on the ID but the landscape crew we have plant them every year at our place. A wee bit more room on the sides of #1 would look a little better to me.
