Bloody Needle and more. - 11-02-2007, 12:53 AM

My father injects testosterone due to an in balance and I found some needles. I was able to talk him into poking himself in the name of macro photography!

This all was taken with an old Olympus OM 50mm macro lens at f/8. Added the old Olympus OM bellows fully extended and came up with this. This is an exciting new world, took me quite a while to amass the equipment to pull this off. I've got a 135mm lens designed for the bellows coming soon. Expect to see more.

Before the pricking.

Toothbrush

Twine

This OM bellows is capable of producing some fantastic results. This lens was made in 1975. Old stuff good stuff!

Well my camera is equipped with a 1000 megasquirtle light sensitive array with a megakilo double widget interface and a pseudo-terrafilter. its got 2 million hexafurtles with a 10 kiloplex and a rechargeable virtual combo-backplate. i also fitted an optical fillyfangle with predictive threshold histogram monitoring. it also has a light sensitive light meter and a time sensitive shutter mechanism.

Not very old, but in terms of equipment, it's pretty old. I'm handling glass designed 10 years before I was! Pretty amazing that they still produce such wonderful pictures. I've got an OM2N as well that was made in 1985. That makes it as old as me!

My Retina was PB...that is Pre-Battery. You can poke around to gage its age, which is younger than I am. But I also shoot a little digital, too, so I can appreciate the use of "experienced" equipment as well as the young-whipper-snapper-stuff.

Back to the macro...great stuff. I like the first two shots in combination, Jon! The juxtaposition of Eeww! with Cool! is striking!
