A simple close up - 08-25-2008, 08:50 PM

This is not a macro shot, but it is a close-up

It was shot with a cheap Sigma zoom at 135mm@f8, with careful use of two remote flash heads. I haven't owned a macro lens in 30 years, need to buy one again.....

Wow, I certainly appreciate the wonderful comments!

The perspective was gained by climbing under the web and shooting up at the spider.

Thanks for the vote of confidence R.D., but it's pure luck. I just close my eyes, pull the trigger and hope for the best!

The key is that people can produce fun, interesting work without having the latest and greatest :-)

Thanks Jason,

They are so plentiful, I figured I'd try a shot of one.
