I got this at Brazos Bend SP last week. The wild petunias patches are common this time of year. I got real close with a 105 and caught this real tiny bug come out from inside the bloom. This is about 45% crop of the original photo.

Very out of the box. I like it. I've seen these little bugs and they are tiny little buggers. I can't even see them with my poor aging eyes without the magnification of the lens.

Poor focus behind the camera creates as many bad photos as poor focus through the camera!

Terry to tell the truth I thought it was pollen until it moved a little and they are very tiny about 1/32 inch long. I shot ten frames in manual focus and this is the only one that was even close to what I wanted… thank goodness for digital! And I’m in the same boat as you as far as seeing tiny stuff. Thanks for the reply!

Scott you’ll have to come on down… it’s a nature photographer’s paradise! The only thing is that since I retired my wife has me captured on weekends but Monday thru Thursday are all mine to go out and play all I want at BBSP. Thanks for the comment!
