TAMU plum blossoms - 03-09-2009, 09:37 AM

Found these plum trees blossoming at the TAMU Holistic Gardens yesterday afternoon. Captured with a 300mm lens with 88mm of extension behind the lens. Natural light. Hope you enjoy them.

Wow I really like DOF and BG on these Kenny! 88 mm of extension!!! I hope you were using a tripod and cable release...What F stop and SS... There's no Exif info on the images.

Thanks, Jim. Was shooting in aperture priority at f4.5 or f5.6, best I can remember.

I agree with Jim - great DOF and backgrounds. 88mm of extension tubes (wow) must make that lens have a very shallow focusing range - but it makes it a very nice macro lens.
