My former FIL was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's in '06 and passed away last year. Because he and the former MIL traveled, they purchased a vehicle that would allow him to continue to travel until it was no longer physically possible for him.

At this point, my MIL no longer needs this type of vehicle, and we are trying to get her into something smaller. *grin*

Not sure if anyone needs something like this - or knows anyone who does - but thought I'd put it out there for anyone who might need it.

2006 Dodge Grand Caravan
Handicap Conversion

Power Windows/Doors, AM/FM Stereo w/CD & Cassette Deck, A/C 15K miles, excellent condition (drivers are HIGHLY anal!)

It's got the VMI Conversion package:

10" Lowered floor
In floor power ramp
Electro Mechanical Kneel System
Integrated power door
Remote control
EZ out Driver & Passenger seats
Q-straint Wheelchair Securement System

B&D - 8 way minivan seat base - passenger side
35- lb capacity, OEM seat base with swivel
6" up/down and fore/aft travel

The van isn't the expensive part on this - it's the conversion factor. Paid a little under 60K for the van plus the conversion. She was asking 48K for it but it's probably a couple K less now...she's just wanting out of it.

Not sure if anyone needs something like this - or knows anyone who does - but thought I'd put it out there for anyone who might need it.

Photo's attached.

I'm putting this on hold for a bit - one of our awesome TPFers sent me a PM letting me know something isn't right with the price on it - so I'm going to touch base with the MIL and see what's what. I'm hoping they didn't get themselves screwed when they purchased it!
