FS: 1976 Fender Super Reverb - RELISTED - 04-06-2010, 05:21 PM

1976 Fender Super Reverb (Silverface w/ Master Volume) If you don't know what this is, you can skip this ad...

I personally restored this amp over 12 years ago and have probably played it less than 10 hours since then. For the purists, the amp is 9 out of 10. The tube sticker was torn off when I got it. I had to cut a new sound board because the original was broken between the speaker holes. I replaced the worn power cord, and have regular RCA cables for the reverb tank. Finally, I painted the inside of the cabinet black (personal preference because I never intended to sell the amp.)

Otherwise, I did a ground up restoration to like new condition using the correct tolex, grill cloth, knobs, faceplate and footswitch. The cabinet, handle, kick stands, casters, wiring/chassis, reverb tank, speakers, cover, casters, etc. are all original, correct and in excellent condition. I had the electronics completely checked and new caps professionally installed along with vintage and NOS tubes (black plates and grey plates). This amp is built like a tank and everything works: reverb, tremelo, push/pull master, everything.

There is NO other sound like an original Super Reverb and this amp has tone to the bone with ALL FOUR ORIGINAL 10" ALNICO SPEAKERS!!! (not the ceramics and not replacements - original ALNICOS)

Price is $1000. Not negotiable and no trades. Pictures provided on request for serious inquiries.

I am ONLY selling to help fund a car for my son.

Sorry for cruddy pics - iphone in low light...lol

Jeff - iPod plugs into any front input with a mini-stereo>1/4"-mono adapter from radio shack.

Drooler - Lipsticks sound pretty darn good, but my strat is where it's at.

The strat is also for sale for $500. Fender strat early 90's MIM (made in Mexico) model, sunburst with maple neck, running the reissue 57/64 pickup assembly. Also includes the original pickup assembly and genuine Fender red poodle case.

Buy the amp for $1000 and the strat for $500 and I'll throw in every pedal I own: Cry Baby wah, DOD overdrive, DOD delay, and Ibanez Tube Screamer*.

*My Tube Screamer is the small "Soundtank" model which no one will steal from you. However, it has the custom brown-chip modification which sounds virtually identical to the original 808 tube screamer.

Times must be tough because all this is a ridiculous deal...and it's still for sale.

I owned a Bassmen Ten for a little while which was close (in appearance at least!) to your Super Reverb. Great amp! If I didn't have my music room upstairs to contend with I'd be all over it.
