FS: Music Hall - Houston - A piece of History - Want their Stage Lights...??? - 06-04-2010, 12:33 PM

I have come in contact with an individual which purchased almost every light from the old Music Hall in Houston. Built in 1937 and torn down in 1998 to make way for the Hobby Center, the Music Hall was a landmark in downtown Houston Texas from Broadway Production and concerts (heck I saw Alice Cooper there FRONT ROW BABY back in the day) :)

Music Hall - Houston Texas

INFO ON THE MUSIC HALL

These lights have been redone inside and while show signs of wear and age on the outside most look amazingly well almost new on the inside (as shown in the images below). Even have the words "Music Hall" painted on the outside of the light - kinda cool! The last image I placed a camera in the image (which is not for sale) but to show you the size of these lights.

There are about 100 of these lights (some in better shape than others) and the owner would like $50 for each of them.

I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR: I AM MAKING NO MONEY FROM THIS DEAL but being I picked up several for my studio for constant lighting and other needs I wanted to offer these rare items and a true piece of History in the Texas Professional Art World.

If your interested please let me know and I will tell you more.

Pick up by you or you pay for shipping cost on top of the cost of the light - seller is in Lake Jackson, Texas area.

Again I make no money from this deal but since the owner has no internet skills and I feel many of us photographers could use these items for either props or hot lights in their work I wanted to post it out there for all of us to know about it.

Looks like an Altman focusing fresnel, a 1000 watts of light chunking power.

I've seen people mod these to fit their strobe heads into. Not that I'm gonna try, but it would be a fun project!!!
