20g standard aquarium with Aqua Clear 100w heater, Whisper filter (hangs on the inside of the tank). No top for this tank since the light I had over attaches via legs to the side (plus, I just didn't want a top over my tanks).
Also have a 24" T5HO light setup that I used on this tank (was a planted tank).
2x24w 6700k blubs. This will give you around 2.4wpg and will be good for growing most types of plants.
All this for $90.
This would be a good setup for someone wanting to go planted tank, and this is the basic stuff you need. |
