    Howdy,

I saw your post and thought that I would write through here instead of on the forum.

If I have read your post correctly your wanting to shoot using a modded 5D? I guess one of the first things to consider is what kind of IR filter will it have?

That way you kind of have a direction to head towards for setting your WB. To get images that will lend themselves more to Post Processing you will need to preset your WB to something very green, like grass or a bright bush. This will save you a lot of time later trying to get the tones and shades correct.

One of the easiest ways is to create an action to do a channel swap type process that will either render a false color look and feel, and to do one with a B&W treatment.

I have been shooting with a Nikon D70S for about 2 years and love it. I have the standard IR Filter that allows me to process either as B&W or False Color.

Hope this might be of some help to you, and will take your images in the direction your after.

    Take care,

    Craig
