    Jeff,
Hey there!! I just wanted to say thank you so much for the information. I figured it was manual. I am trying and I am way better than I used to be. It is a work in progress. I am off to look at the information that you sent me. Thanks a bunch!!

    Hi spicegirl,

I don't have an action, my B&W conversion process is more manual, and can vary from image to image. Here's a thread I wrote up last year about my B&W workflow. Not much has changed since then, I still use Lightzone quite a bit for B&W work. One new tool I've been playing with lately is Nik Silver Efex Pro, which can do a pretty nice job on the initial conversion, and has some interesting presets.

Jeff Your work is amazing!!! I absolutely love love love your black and whites. Do you use an action for these? I have been working on my black and whites for months and yet I still can not master them. Your are truly the way I would love for mine to be. Can you offer any advice to me in this area? I have a PC and use CS3. I know life is busy but if you could spare some time I would greatly appreciate it!!!!
