Hiya, Leslie! Long time, no talk to. Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I'm trying to send a couple of clients your way. Don't know the name of the bride, but the mothers names are Beth Kimmel and Laila Hinton. Both of them work with me and asked me to shoot their weddings. I told them that I do not do weddings, "but let me refer you to someone whose work ROCKS!" They both seem a bit cost conscious (aren't they all that way?), but I try to remind them that photograhy is the one thing they shouldn't skimp on. After the dress is put away and all of the food, flowers, and guests are gone the only thing they'll have to remind them of their special day is what the photographer produces. Hope it works out for you. (BTW - even though I rarely post anymore on TPF, I'm always a BIG fan of your work.)

if you dont mind me asking....what camera do you use?? Any tips on what brand of camera to use, I am new to photography and hope to get a dslr this weekend. by the way, if you havent been told yet....your picture are absolutely STUNNING!!!

Can I just say that you are such a huge inspiration to me. Your photos are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen! You have the style I want to achieve someday and your work is so different; in a very unique way. I see your in Mckinney, is that by Houston? just wondering cause I'm looking for a pro I could tag along with...
I can't wait to see more of your work, it is absolutely breath taking!

About Me

I love adventure, working hard, getting hot and sweaty while shooting a major disaster or uprising or whatever. I get an adrenaline rush from being in the middle of the action. I've been doing pj work for 2 years, lived with the rebels in Haiti when they took over the country, been shot at several times and almost killed Oct. 8 (went right back out the next day!), photographed 3 floods/hurricanes including the one in Haiti where 3000 people lost their lives, the violence in Port-au-Prince (I've seen way to much death), and a variety of other things. I'm very carefree and tend to "go with the flow". I love to stay with the people that I'm photographing and get to know them and their stories. List of credits: Time Magazine, CNN.com, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Arizona Republic, NACLA (cover and inside...2 issues), Compaq headquarters' gallery along with Hermann Hospital and Kelsey Siebold, S&L magazine, Clamor, a book for Terre des Hommes, NEED magazine (they featrued 12 photogs worldwide including Steve McCurry, Antonin Kratchovil, Alex Webb, Ami Vitale and a few others and me, for some reason. We each got a 5 page spread), American Photo, Popular Photography, Living with Pinache (Ft. Worth Star Telegram), Stanford University, numerous brochures for the state of Texas, and a variety of others as well as numerous websites. Still new to the biz having only been doing it for around 2 years. I LOVE being a photojournalist!! There is nothing better in the world! I also ran a photo tour company for awhile, was interviewed by National Geographic, Living with Pinache and Oustide Magazine. Outside Mag. nominated one of my tours as their choice for tour of the year. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it. I will hopefully start it up again at some point. I had to stop to concentrate on my pj career.
UPDATE: I now consider myself a wedding photographer, even though I still love photojournalism. I have the greatest brides in the world!

Favorite Aspect of Photography

I love meeting the people and getting to know their stories. I also love to help people with my photos which is why I give a number of my images away free to ngo's. That's why I do this.
