- I am 58 and have been shooting in Texas for most of the last 40 years. I just upgraded again from the Canon 50D DSLR to the new 7D. Sold my 50D and kept the 40D as my backup. I started with a 127 roll film camera in 1964 and graduted to a Zeiss Icon 35 mm rangefinder in 1965. On to a Pentax Spotmatic II and Minolta Maxxum 7000. THEN... Digital in 2003. I have been through a Sony Mavica 4 megapixel to the Original Digital Rebel and then the XT. Next, I shot my 40D as a primary for 18 months. I bought a 50D in the spring of 2009. I shot this body until October 2009. Now I have the 7D and it seems to be that first "pro" series body for me and I love the high ISO ability.
I took 12 hours of photography in college in the early 90s all black and white darkroom stuff. I have had work hung at The Arts Alliance of Clear Lake. I am really learning to be more technically proficient as a digital photographer. It feels like I lost my muse and am looking for it once again. LOL Joined the League City Photography Meet-Up group and 5 months later I became the organizer. I want to be a photographer when I grow up (retire).
