- I started shooting with my father's old Pentax Spotmatic through a Takumar 50mm f1.4 lens about 9 years ago. The glass is so clean it is unbelievable. I used to lay below the tree at a lolcal dragstrip just to get images of race cars with their wheels up reaching for the sky. After several weeks of doing this I was approached by several drivers asking about purchasing prints. At the time I was shooting just for the fun of it and sold a few prints on the side.
Here it is 7 years later, I travel across Texas to different dragstrips chasing that killer wheel stand. During this period I enrolled in college to learn more about the gift God has given me. I will be graduating soon with my degree in Web Development along with a minor in Multi-Media Management and Production.
I still pull out the trusty Pentax to do some fine art images every now and then. It's something about being in the darkroom that is the magical side of creating an image. Just me and the enlarger....
On top of that I am a single father with a beautiful 12 yr. old daughter in which I cherish every moment spent with her. There are times she ask, will I every get a girlfriend, my reply is always " I have one and her name is Canon" - Photo Gear
