    About Me
Photography started at a very early age for me. Ever since I was at newborn status, I've always had pictures taken of me. In the nude. Mainly for Ripley's Believe it or Not exhibits and other sideshows. After a long hiatus, I again appeared in random candid drunk photography. But then again, didn't everyone???

Years after that, I decided it was time for me to be on the other side of the camera. I started with a Canon A40 P&S and later upgraded it with a fisheye attachment. It wasn't a true fisheye but it made people look funny. I liked it. Subjects were the typical flowers, pets, ceiling fans, door knobs, sunsets, bugs, etc... Pretty much what everyone shoots when they first get their camera. Looking back now you'd think I'd have a fetish for ceiling fans...

After shooting my first concert with a P&S, I decided that I needed a faster camera. I picked up a Fuji S1. Absolutely beautiful colors. Not long after that I upgraded to a Fuji S2, which I still own today. (The S2 currently is on tour and is now residing in a town called Hooks... Seriously folks, I've never heard of it either) But I needed speed for concerts. I needed fast lenses. And I needed earplugs... Along came the Nikon D2H. My noise maker. Not only is it loud audibly, it's also noisy on high ISO images. But I passed it off as artistic grain.

After several assignments for a local magazine, I noticed that the noise was quite prominent, especially when blown up for the cover. It was kinda embarrassing actually. So I sold some blood, plasma and some stock to invest in a Canon Mk2.

I've never shot film and I still marvel at those that still do today. Especially those large format shooters. Crazy people... Reminds me of and old novel.

Now the king told the boogie men
You have to let that raga drop
The oil down the desert way
Has been shakin to the top
The sheik he drove his cadillac
He went a cruisnin down the ville
    The muezzin was a standing
    On the radiator grille

    Chorus
    The shareef dont like it
    Rockin the casbah
    Rock the casbah
    The shareef dont like it
    Rockin the casbah
    Rock the casbah

    By order of the prophet
    We ban that boogie sound
    Degenerate the faithful
    With that crazy casbah sound
But the bedouin they brought out
    The electric camel drum
    The local guitar picker
    Got his guitar picking thumb
    As soon as the shareef
    Had cleared the square
    They began to wail

    Chorus

    Now over at the temple
Oh! they really pack em in
The in crowd say its cool
    To dig this chanting thing
But as the wind changed direction
    The temple band took five
    The crowd caught a wiff
    Of that crazy casbah jive

    Chorus

The king called up his jet fighters
He said you better earn your pay
Drop your bombs between the minarets
    Down the casbah way

As soon as the shareef was
    Chauffeured outta there
    The jet pilots tuned to
    The cockpit radio blare

As soon as the shareef was
    Outta their hair
    The jet pilots wailed

    Chorus

    He thinks its not kosher
    Fundamentally he cant take it.
You know he really hates it.

If you actually spent time and read this complete bio...please pm me on the absurdity...

I love the rush of getting that one shot in the most challenging environment that will have an impact. I never realized it until recently. Now its a challenge to make a difference with my all my images and to convey the feeling of the subjects. Even if it's just fried chicken. I love sharing ideas for shots and pushing processing techniques to the edge. I also heard having a big camera and lens would get you a date...

j/k...well actually someone did tell me that...
