- I am a Graphic Design/photography student at Texas Womans University in Denton. I am a member of the Photographic Artist Coalition and serve as a officer Public Relations, at TWU.
I enjoy printing in the Darkroom, theres just something magical about it. Im currently working on two photo projects, one for school which is fabricated reality using my DSLR, the second is a personal project which is documenting a journey through ones pregnancy. The changes that take place within the body, the emotions, the good the bad and the ugly. These are not your standard pregnancy belly pictures, they are an actual documantary. So I was inspire by Elizabeth Claffy who followed a woman and her breast cancer experience. I am also looking at Joy Christiansen erb as well for inspiration.
Fall of 2009 my photo of the Vase was published in the schools magazine Daedelion, in fall of 2010 my documentary silver gelatin print was shown in the Alliance art show, currently in spring of 2011 another documentary silver gelatin print is being shown in the Voertmans art show at TWU. - Photography connects the photographer, the viewer and the subject. It opens a new world in which we do not see through our own eyes. Bringing forth an image may open the eye to other things that we dont normaly see or pay any attention to. I love the way photography can tell a story creating questions and curiosity.
