The Retrieve (Part 3 final) - 08-02-2009, 12:38 PM

This is the last retrieve I shot the day of the other two. I just picked out a few of the set. I didn't know a couple of these showed the wild side until I looked at them on the monitor. Got the ear thing going on too.

The last one I'm just trowing in for fun after a nice little work-out. It's something pups do....

love, Love, LOVE them!

Was this all natural lighting? What kind of PP work did you do?

Thanks Chris. Yes sir, these are all natural lighting. I shot in RAW and processed in Lightroom which is still new to me but I find myself using it more because of subtle adjustments and easy adjustments to mutiple photos of the same or near same subject and background etc. I checked the sliders and I did apply vignette to some. Some have a slight boost in saturation. The processing is what I would call very minimal. The best thing I had going for me other that the subject was the light. We had a lot of days where the cloud cover was medium to heavy then with the sun setting it throws out that sweet light under the clouds as it lowers. With enough greenery and distance in the background I was able to get what I like with DOF to soften it. The ones that didn't have enough, I applied a vignette using LR. All the exif should be there if you want to see the settings. Hope that helps.

Therese, laughter is good for you right? I'm glad to know you got a laugh and I hope it's a big one! Wish I could capture one of the running fits but it would look better on video I think.

I'm a recent RAW convert myself. I'm enjoying LR a lot more than PS lately.

Really great photos! And sooooo cute.... The last one is hilarious, I almost choked on a carrot. I have not mastered the running toward you shot, but you certainly have!

Great images! What a fun series! Makes me want one of these dogs even more, but I just don't have the room right now.

Wow, thanks everyone! I'm more than happy to share these photos of Teke especially if they give you some pleasure. Y'all are right though. The puppy cuteness will be gone real soon then we'll see what can be done.
