Thank you all. I am not sure what that is, but I also think it was a snake in his mouth. I had been watching this gator for several minutes. It was just on the other side of the foot bridge from the observation tower at 40 acre lake. When I rounded the corner by the tower I heard a lot of splashing then I walked back and followed this gator for about 50 feet before he stopped. I watched him for about another half hour hoping he would consume what was in his mouth and get shots if that, but he wouldn't move and It was getting hot.
