Riding My Bike @ BBSP= Lots of Pics - 08-29-2009, 07:05 PM

Another fun filled day at the park. There certainly is an advantage of riding a bike there. One down fall is you scare most birds away with a bike.
I knew this before I took it. I still managed to get a lot of shots in.

I took three lenses, my Nikon 50mm 1.8, Nikon 300mm 4.5 MF, Nikon 28-105 Macro 4.5.

I saw an otter this morning at Elm Lake! He kept moving further away. He was quick and gone before I knew it. It was my very first sighting of one too.
No it wasn't a nutria if that is what your thinking.
The hummers are thick at the nature center which I stopped in to pet the baby gators. There are so many nice volunteers in there! Thanks BBSP!

This gator made a 360 and headed towards us. There must be some baby gators nearby. I learned something yesterday, when they swirl their tail they are giving a warning that we're too close.

Thanks for looking!

Looks like you had a marvelous time, Sandy-glad you included the bike!
That's a really pretty Hummingbird!

Sandy, when you were shooting the gator tail were you in the area between 40 Acre Lake and Elm Lake? The only water is on the north side of that trail going to Elm. My friend and I thought we heard baby gators on that side but could not pick them out.

That is exactly where it was. She was very aggravated.

That is a great variety of photos you got! Looks like big creek is really low and the deer can walk across it again...I'll be working over there this fall if the colors come in this year.
