Seasons Tree

This is a tree I photograph every so often under different conditions with the intent of doing a series of all the seasons represented.

That is a really cool looking tree! Do you know what kind it is? Kind of looks like an oak of some sort.

Yes your right I need to find out what, exactly this is. I may need to write a bit about.
It sits next to a Pecan tree I do know that. In fact from a distance it looks as if this tree is actually a root from the other tree that turned into a tree itself.
