I went this morning to Mercer Arboretum. I show here almost all pictures because it is difficult to select best pictures.


Some mysterious globes on widespread ginger-like plant.


Indian pink, now blooming second time in fall.


Bumblebee, with flash.


Buddha belly jatropha.


Leaf of caladium.


Ginger without flash.


Bamboo.



Some orange butterfly.


One of photographers trying to take pictures of the butterflies too.


Some moth in the same area.


Spicy jatropha.


Powdery thalia near a pond.


Toad lily, near a small pond.


Pokeweed, with reflections of twin bulbs of the flash.


Flowering banana.


Spiral ginger.


The same ginger as near the beginning, but now with flash.


Wild milkweed grown in a dry cypress pond.

Oh, your orange butterfly is a Gulf Fritillary and the moth is a Long tailed Skipper!

WOW, these are all great Alexey. Great job. I would have to pick the Toad Lily as my favorite. Beautiful colors & details against the dark background.
