I assume you wanted to have these look very soft and I like both of these images for that reason...very nice work!

Lovely colors and texture. I especially like the first one with the gradations of orange getting lighter as it approaches the green from L to R and from R to L.

Thanks, everyone for the nice comments. The background colors came from books on my desk since they were all taken indoors at night with room light and a diffuser. Check out my website: trilephotography's Photos.
