Yard Shots Plus a Special Guest - 12-25-2009, 09:45 PM

How was everyone's Christmas? My yard shots were pretty much the same birds so I took Emily out to get some sun. Emily didn't stay out too long being that there was a hawk in the area. The Red Shoulder did one fly by and that was all it took for me to bring the amazon back inside.
Emily is a Red Lored Amazon that I've owned for about 8 years now.

I think maybe the hawk was just trying to add some "greens" to his diet!
Glad everyone turned out OK, Sandy.

I doubt the hawk would fly down to get the parrot while I'm standing right next to him. But then again I have seen it happen on Animal Planet. I had or have no intentions on baiting my little buddy. I didn't even know he was in the area until I saw the hawk fly above the tree tops. As soon as that happened Emily went inside.

It's my tea cup chihuahua I have to worry about! She's outside several times a day.
And at night I have to watch out for the owls.
