Sea Urchin Shell - 01-08-2010, 07:33 AM

This is one of the sea shells that my neighbor has in his collection and I'm doing some studio work on them...Keeps me out of the cold weather and I still get to play with my camera. I'm also posting some on the macro forum as well.

Interesting. Sea Urchin (Uni) tastes terrible though (to me at least).

That's a very cool looking critter. Great shot Jim. Wouldn't it be more fun to take this shot laying on the beach in this weather?

Nice Jim. I like the detail & color as well as your choice of background. How are you lighting these shots?

Thanks y'all! Tim it's hard to get me out of the house in the winter just to go shopping...I'm not a winter type person...I'd like to move to Brownsville!

Dan I'm using my camera flash and not very good at it either.

Felix thanks for the ID...I just knew it was some kind of Urchin shell.

what are you using to edit? you can make adjustments in lightroom, aperture or camera raw.

Felix I use Nikon Capture NX2 to edit and only shoot RAW files. I should probably have spend more time PP this before posting it and get the lighting better...but.....
