Glad to hear from you. I managed to sink my canoe once out there so have always carried insurance on all my equipment. I am in the process of upgrading all my equipment and am waiting for the final shipment. When it arrives, I'll call my agent and make sure that everything is covered before I head back to Armand. I notice that you live in Kemah which means that the bayou is almost in your back yard. I am about 25 minutes from the bayou and for me it is the most interesting place that is easily accessible. Having a kayak or canoe is the only way to go.
I've not gone to the golf course since Ike hit. All of the downed trees have kept me from doing that. I've taken a number of photos there and have them posted on my website.

Hopefully the link to the gator album will work and you can check to see if any of these guys look familiar. I concentrated a lot on gators, but have been trying to branch out to everything that is on the bayou. I'll try to post some of the photos this weekend. If the above link doesn't work, you can follow the link below my signature and just view the gator section under Armand Bayou. Looking forward to meeting you.
Wanted to add that the huge gator that was at the split near Red Bluff was taken out about a year or so ago. Heard he got aggressive and so they sent him to the boot farm. I just called him Big'un. I have also noticed that the large gators are moving much closer to the park. They were always farther up the bayou, but I've seen some pretty big ones very close to the bridge. They may eventually develop the BBSP attitude and start climbing out of the water at the park. Gotta run.
