Yes its Hannah, and she's the doberman in the picture above.

We had to put her down last Wednesday. Her congestive heart failure had gotten too bad. Her heart was the size of a basketball, and it was actually coming through her ribs, causing a large lump on her side. She had started foaming at the mouth all the time from all the fluid on her lungs, and the enlarged heart was pushing on her digestive system.

It was a hard decision but we know it was the right one. She laid down on the floor of the vets office as if to say "Finally."

We're having her creamated and should get her ashes back at the end of the week.

she is very very cool, she does not bark unless she hears the door open, which is a good thing since i keep my loaded surprise for intruders.

Mine are far from cute...

But this guy was the ringbearer at a wedding a couple years ago.

Chris, you have my sympathy. I've been through similar things with my previous dogs and I know how hard it is. But good for you for making the right decision and providing her some relief.

She did have two front legs, she is just sitting on one of them in this picture. I feel the owners of the dobbermens pain. I had to make that tuff choice too. It was teh single hardest decision I have ever made in my life but in the end I was more than willing to take on the pain of letting her go so she didnt have suffer. She had terminal cancer and was 12 years old. I miss her so that I am tearing up right now typing this.

Sorry didnt mean to bring the thread down. Some really awesome dogs and pictures, keep it going.

This here is Fred, unfortunately he lives in El Paso with my parents I felt bad when I had to leave my pets behind when I went to college. My parents love him and the two cats though.

I'm going to include my kitties (Spaz and Squeakers) too, they all go together even though the oldest one (Squeakers) doesn't like the dog and other cat.

Melissa - what kind of dog is Fred? How big is he? He looks a lot like a dog that I had once... we never did figure out what breed he was for sure.

I don't know, a black one? He was a stray that my mom trapped in the backyard, he has really wooly fur that was really matted and smelly when he found us, it has to be trimmed regularly (El Paso is a hot place for a black wooly dog). He's about 30 lbs. I would guess he has some bird dog (really soft mouth) and maybe some cocker spaniel in him.

He's a cute, sweet mutt, that's all I know
