The closest breed we could ever come up with for him was Portuguese water dog.

Yeah, I guess Fred would look a lot like your dog if we let his fur grow out. My dad shears him like a sheep, he may not be perfectly clipped, but he's usually much happier when he gets rid of some of that hot fur.

Yea, we used to do Zar like that, too.. don't have many pics of him shorn... we used to call him "Summer Zar" and "Winter Zar"

I'm just glad he never grew completely into those feet. LOL

Now back to the cute little dog thread.

Thanks. It is REALLY hard, but I take comfort in knowing that I did the right thing.

You can't talk about dogs without talking about the inevitable. Unfortunately its the side of dog ownership that none of us can avoid.

It's amazing, I thought I had the cutest pet til I saw all these great looking dogs. I wish I had more money so I could have more dogs after seeing all these. Thanks everyone for sharing...

huh... I thought I was 'ok' until I saw all these other dogs. Did you see the labradoodle puppy that Dennis posted. OMG! I think that has to be my favorite dog shot of anyone I follow... even the big names!
