Quick Trip To Smithville Property - 04-04-2010, 09:51 PM

After cutting some pasture of our 10 acres out there I managed to get a few pics before sundown and a couple this morning. Then the rains came and had to leave. While we were leaving looking at the pasture cutting results my other half got a laugh when I left the bluebonnets patches untouched and some other tall wild flowers.
I can't wait to go back. I never seen so many butterflies in all my life.
The raccoons were talking and the deer were plentiful last night. The owls were hootin too! I really love our little getaway place.

Wow Sandy, you're hired! Love the light and color. What was the "Tasmanian Devil" doing in Smithville, I wonder? :

Try sleeping with her! Every time I roll over she growls at me! She is a holy terror! Typical C.

Very nice Sandy. Tell your other half that it's against the law to cut the state flower. Not sure if it's true on not, but sounds good.

I have to admit he did want to keep one batch that was in the middle of our driveway which is half sand and half gravel. It's still there.

Thanks, Jim. I'll be going back for many reasons such as the dew covered flowers. Speaking of dew I saw a spider web that was covered with those drops while leaving. I didn't get any shots of that unfortunately.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention I saw a bald eagle fly over in Wiemar on CR 155!!!

I could never charge rent for my friends here! Buesher State Park is five minutes from our place too. Maybe we can plan a visit soon. You can come by our place and check out the state park in the same day.
