Round Rock Honey... - 04-05-2010, 11:33 AM

Here’s an experience I’ll never forget. Konrad Boufford, owner and operator of Round Rock Honey, asked if I wanted to come out and shoot some photos at one of his “trainer” bee hive sites. As it turned out, the occasion was planed as the owner has a radio personality with him along with a Austin American Statesman photographer. I was able to get the photos the Statesman photographer took of me. It was both a privilege and blast to take photos/video of the bee hives.

Post of The Month IMO. Educational and inspiring! Hope your nose didn't turn out to be like WC Fields.

Thanks Tom...last time I tried using the YouTube tags here (about a year ago) they didn't work.

Thank you Sandy, the nose is fine...Konrad gave me 4lbs of honey and said to put baking soda directly on the sting and to eat about 1/3 cup of honey. Sorry, you have to catch me up...who's WC Fields?

Ron, I had bee prints all over the front elements...and it was somewhat tough to get off. There were also about 20 stingers left behind in eash of my camera straps.

"who's WC Fields", You're not serious? "My little chickadee."

Great shots. Sure would hate to have to change a lens out there. :)

Excellent, Roy - the 4 pounds of honey is well worth one little bee sting (ok, a bee sting on the nose is going o hurt).

W.C. Fields...oh...okay: W. C. Fields - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia see I knew it was someone I "should" know, but honestly, when it comes to a lot of television/movie related stuff...I'm the worst.

Thanks for the comments...did I say 40lbs? Wow that would be a lot of honey...meant 4lbs.

You did not say 40 pounds - just my eyes playing tricks on me. Too bad it was not 40 pounds.
