I had a blast following this little fellow trying to fish and evade me. clearly he/she was not pleased about my presence. in the end he came up with a small turtle.

Thanks Patti and Billy. Billy what bird is this anyway. I am not very good with the bird IDs. I just take picture of them.

It's a yellow crown night heron and you did a super job on these...also one of my favorite wading birds that I'm able to shoot sometimes.

I was expecting a top of a head with a target painted on it.

Jim. Ron, Brad and John thank you. Jim, thanks for the ID. This fellow is amazing, a master of posing if you will. Try to get a model that can produce this many poses and expressions all for free. I have few other shots where the poses make this bird appear so different. I will post them later when I get some time
