Ron:

Nice shots of the Tanager.

I'm planning a trip to High Island in the next few days and was wondering where you did your photography in Boy Scout Woods. Did you use the photo blind, sit at the drip, walk around.

I've shot at the rookery before, but never Boy Scout Woods.

Grady, I walked around for a little while but settled on a spot and just let the birds come to me...when you entered Boy Scout Woods, take a left and go just past a little pond...I took all my picture from the pond area down around the curve in the walkway and a little ways down the walkway to where there is a little opening on your right. I wasn't using a tripod...hope this helps...I sure would like to get back over there...from the reports looks like the action is starting to pickup especially in the afternoons...
