#3 for me. The raindrop above his / her eye stands out better & love the color.

I like the first one but too much noise for me. The second one there are spots above his head and below his neck where they are not cleaned up.
#3 gets my vote I love his color and drops on his face. The image looks natural.
Good looking friend you have there!

Thanks, I just caught that noise, yet another reason not to stay up too late messing with pictures. I forgot to turn Noise reduction back on in my camera, I thought I'd be ok at 200 iso but not so much.

These or one of these are for a little photo contest on a Lab forum I'm on.

Number 3 is great image! All versions are good, but 3 seems to connect with the subject more.

Thanks, here are a couple more I did. (sorry, I can't leave it alone), These were edited with the raw files in lightroom 3, it should cut down on the noise abit.

Nice photos, I prefer the #3 with color from the first set.

Be careful about using the in-camera noise reduction. By doing this you are permanently altering the source file with a much less advanced algorithm than what is available in Photoshop. As post-processing noise reduction gets more and more advanced, your files will be forever stuck with the result of the camera's algorithm.

Does that apply to raw files too?

Last one I promise.

That's my understanding. Perhaps someone can verify that.
