Here are a few of my favorites from this weekends McKinney tiger shoot. I had a great time and highly recommend to anyone interested in photographing big cats. I plan on going again when I have the time.

Suger, the only lioness:

Rocky, the male in the group:

One of the Females, Sheba I think:

Those are all fabulous. I love the pictures of Rocky, but they are all great.

To entice those who have not made the trip to McKinney for the shoot here is a few shots from my first trip. All of these were shot with the 70-200 f4L @ f/4.

If you live in Texas you really need to consider this shoot.

Nice images Ben, I especially like the shot of Sugar running, very well captured. Here's what she looks like when she's coming right at you

This location is really a diamond-in-the-rough and Tom Hicks and I have been working with the owners to improve the experience. Hopefully we can have a few improvements done to the enclosures that will reduce the appearance of fences and buildings and any other manmade objects that make the compositions more difficult.

BTW - that's Pookie (not Sheba), the youngest of the big cats. :D

Weird, I pressed the reply button, and the two newest entries disappeared. The last one was from Jim Victory regarding using AF. All I did was hit reply and it took me back to the main forum index and the posts were gone.

Now it seems to work fine, but those posts are still missing.
