Last Laugh

As I was about to get in bed last night I realized I forgot to get the gate combination. Reset my clock for later and had a hard time sleeping because of that. Pulled up about 06:40 and half of the gate was open so drove over to 40 acres lake. Missed the sun rise so things are not starting off good. It's hot and I'm sweating before I even start. A good dose of deep-woods off and I get going. Made it all the way to Elms Lake and not a lot of activity except for mosquitoes trying to penitrate through my deep-woods. By then I was drenched so made my way back. Right before I left there he was laughing at me. After all that I took a picture to check my sensor...bad bad and just bad. Off to Professional Camera Repair on Richmond Ave. in Houston. I got to learn how to do it....I am having withdrawls.

That photo is sooo cool!!! I think I got that beat...I called and got the gate code and then couldn't remember it when I got there the next morning at 5:30...I got lucky and one of the rangers I know arrived at 6:00 and let me in, but that was sure a long thirty minutes. Now I write it down and put it in my camera bag after I call them...sometimes it's not fun being old.

Thanks Jim....You made me feel better to know I am not the only one it happens to. Just to tell you the rest of that story I added another picture. He was laughing so hard he started choking. Thought he was going to caugh up a hair ball!

We all have those days out there David. I think the tough days are to remind us not to take BBSP for granted. The average day out there is great...so occasionally, we have to have a bad one or two. But, I do like your shots!

I see you found the flasher! I found one like that a few months ago. I think this is their way of digesting a full stomach. Just a guess. The mosquitoes ate me up too last time I went.

I always put the gate combo on my sun visor no matter what. They got some screwy numbers to memorize lately.

I'm going to Seabrook in the morning. It's not as far as BBSP. You should come out and play. Pasadena is just around the corner!

Thanks Patrick, either way just being there is relaxing for me. Helps reduce stress.

Sandy, I would certainly like to see whats out there since it is close but it will have to wait. I put my camera in the shop today and wont get it back until sometime next week. You'll have to let me know how it goes. Good Luck.
