I like it...they are not very active in this heat so to even get a decent shot of one of the is cool. Last time I was there, not sure which cat it was, but my lens was ticking it off something bad...leaped at me and lots of growls... I have been meaning to go back out there just haven't had a chance.

Robert, That is a beautiful animal and photo. I think it might benefit from a little added contrast. I've never been there. Were you shooting through glass?

Last time I was out there Patti you shoot through chain-link fence. Everything was outside. They have some beautiful animals out there and the staff is very friendly.

Patti, I was there a couple of years ago, just fence cages with several big cats, they had lions also. I didn't see any glass, maybe they added some since then, I had shot at 2.8 to 4 on aperture to blur out the wires. Seems like there is a white tiger at the zoo in Tyler.

Thanks for the info and the website. That looks like a really cool place to visit.
Robert, I was wondering how you got that shot so clear without a fence between you and the cat!

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. First, the slightly soft look is caused by a wire in the fence, I am just very close to it. I was trying to go through the openings but they were on the small side. If you go there, you need to ask for a tour of the large habitats, they are not open to the public but they will take you back there is you ask really nice. Once back there you only have the one fence and you can get up close. I am talking to them about setting up a special photo session like the McKinney Tiger Shoot. If I get it worked out I will post up.

Robert, I hope they will do like McKinney. Very nice image and Doug, I think you did a good job on it in photoshop. Robert, I hope you don't mind but I took Doug's version a little bit further

I don't know what the deal is it but everythink I post looks dark and washed out. Your result looks just like my print I did today. I have voiced this before with no suggestions. It if were not for the print, I would think it were a monitor issue. Any thoughts?

Nice Comp on that shot Robert, the "brightening up" reworks did help IMO.
