Cool story you told! That would make a neat time lapse project. You'd have to use a weatherproof cam or set it up shooting out of a window you could open for the shots. I guess taking a shot every day at the same time from September through December would be good and then making an animated gif to last about 30 seconds - staying on each photo for about 1/4 second. So many things I'd like to try and so little time...

I'll have to post the video made from a New Years party several years back. Set my 40D up tethered to the laptop and shot every 30 seconds for the party. The video runs for about 5 minutes.
