To me this is much more fitting what art is than blurry photos. I like the first one, how did you make them?

Looks like a similar processing to what I saw on a recent photoshop user tv episode.

I like the second one.
Very phoenix fire rising from the water look to it.

That's it, Fractalius plug-in for photoshop.
Photoshop Plug-ins by Redfield
I am not promoting this, it is just what I use. It took me a little while to come up with some presets I like or to get me closer to my result. Then from there I tweak as I go. I don't think it replaces a well taken picture but you can have a little fun.
