Really like the last one. I made it to the north part of the park yesterday. Heard there are a lot of grizzly bears in the north part of the park. The fires in the northeast have brought them out.

Thanks all for commemting. The first two shots were off hand with the 500mm lens as there was no time to set up a tripod. Ron all of these were with the new lens. I love the 500mm. The last two shots were with the 500mm at about 10 ft. The bull came through the parking lot next to my truck so some of us got some goood facial shots. I'm now in Gardiner for the nest 2 weeks to photograph the north end. I will post more now that I have a constant source for internet.

Ken, great shots. I just got home this evening from up there. The Lamar Valley was very productive for us. We saw 6 grizzlies in an evening and the next morning. So they could have been the same however we still did see them both times. Good luck.

It doesn't get any better than Yellowstone. Love the elk, though the wolves have made it more difficult to find large bulls.

Dave the bear was about 500 yds from us. No snow yet in Yellowstone, but there was some on the mountains in Boulder, WY where I hunted pronghorn. Scott I will be in the Lamar Valley all week. I'm not coming back in the fall next year, but instead I'm going to come up for two weeks in May. Thanks all for looking and commenting. I will post more in a few days after processing. Morning temps are 26 and 57 in the evening.

Ken that is great. I think I would enjoy going in early spring as well. I will be looking forward to some more images. I will post some as soon as I get some edited.
