Sometimes bad light is a good thing... - 09-30-2010, 02:09 PM

I was at a pond just off the aptly named Moose-Wilson Road in Teton National Park on Monday when I came across this moose in the midst of the water.

Of course, the light was atrocious (isn't it always when you want to nail a shot?)....but after some experimenting, I got to thinking perhaps the bad light was actually a gift instead of a curse.

What do you think?

I was also in the same situation last year at the Grand Teton NP. The animals were always between me and the sun... LOL

I agree, work with what you're given.

Light is neither good nor bad. It's all in the way you use it. You did well here!

Who says that this is bad light? Looks like great light to me. I love back-lit shots. Add a moose to it and you have an awsome capture. Good work Jeff.
