I thought I would post this here in case you guys and gals would be interested in entering the Brazoria County Photographic Arts Club photography contest for the Migration Celebration. Its will be fun and both pros and non pros can enter. If you have any questions please contact the two numbers on the bottom of the flyer or contact me (I am the Vice Pres of the club). If you guys are living within our area and are interested in joining the club please let me know I will get you the meeting times and place (normally held in Lake Jackson) so you can come to the next meeting this month.

Only original photographs, taken by the entrant may be submitted.
Only 8 X 10 inch photographs will be accepted.
Photos should be mounted on a 8 X 10 inch picture board to allow for easier and safer handling.
To be eligible, photos must have an address label attached to the back written with the following info:
1.) Entrant’s name,
2.) Entrant’s phone number,
3.) The category entered into, and
4.) A name for the photo.
Entrants must also provide a matching index card with the same items from the address label duplicated on the index card.
A maximum of three photos may be entered into the contest, in any category.
The contest will consist of three categories:
Wildlife – This category will be open to all wildlife species, from any location.
Habitat – This category will be open to all photos of wildlife habitats taken on National Wildlife Refuges. (May include sunrise, sunsets, flowers, structures, marsh, forest, rivers, etc…). Animals may be in the photo, but cannot be the subject of the photo.
Public Use – This category will be open to all photos of public use activities taken on National Wildlife Refuges. (May include hunting, fishing, wildlife observation and photography, environmental education and interpretation).
Cost for entry is $5.00 per photo, payable by check or money order to the Brazoria County Photographic Arts Club (BCPAC).
1st place winners and Best of Show will be displayed for six months in the Discovery Center at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge (see
www.refugefriends.org).
All photos may also be subject to use in advertising or promotions by the refuge system or by the Brazoria County Photographic Arts Club.
All photos must be received by Thursday, April 7th, 4 P.M.
Those entrants who desire the return of their photos must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope, otherwise, you must be present to pick up your photo at the close of the day.
