I would maybe crop just a tad from the side of #1, but I like it as it is as well!

I like the first one. Composition works well. I'd crank up the saturation a little to enhance the colors. It wasn't obvious when I first looked at it that there were lilly pads on the water.

I like the colors on the second one but the focus seems a little off. Keep practicing and posting. You're on the right track.

Thanks, Therese. I went back and forth on the comp and can't make up my mind on how wide to make it.

Tim, my Dad mentioned the same thing on the first one so I'll upload an updated one here in a min. On the second one, I actually had it set for infinity and it just happen to almost be in focus on the tower so I edited it some to see how it would work.

Thanks to both of you.

Alright, the first one is saturated a bit more.

See, you need to listen to me more. I like the change in the first one with the added saturation. It made the lotus pads stand out more. I think we talked about the second one a little too. I liked the color when I saw it, but thought it would be a better picture without the leafless tree on the right side of the photo. As Tim says, keep shooting.

I can't get the EXIF on #2 but a smaller f stop (f22) might have helped with more DOF. I also use my DOF preview button on photos like that to see what I'm going to get before I hit the shutter.

Jim, I was messing with export settings one day and forgot to uncheck the "minimal metadata" box. Sorry about that.

I'll give your suggestions a try next time. Thanks.

I like the first one a lot. The way you framed it works quite well for me.
