This all reminds me...
The Corgi was bred as a herding dog. The Flemish farmers would use those little dogs to herd the cattle and to keep the cattle out of their gardens. They would nip at the cattle's heels to make them move. If the cattle kicked, the Corgi was so short the kick usually passed over the top of them
My Corgi was named Ginger. The herding characteristic of her breed became very evident when it was getting close to her mealtime. She would get right behind my wife's feet and try to herd her toward the kitchen. If Judy would stop...Ginger would stop. If Judy backed up...Ginger backed up. When Judy moved foreword Ginger moved foreword, like she was herding Judy toward the food!

It was really kind of comical, watching her herd Judy like that. lol!
Oh yeah...Ginger could be Stubborn too, when she wanted to have something her way. Very Stubborn!!!
But she was a sweet loving little friend and companion.
